I blog from the lobby of the ophthalmologists. Will I be wearing bifocals at the age of 41? I know that’s a negative way to look at things but I am so tired of going to the doctor so much.

I actually got to get in the pool yesterday, but 10 minutes after I had been swimming I heard thunder. So that was the end of that. I am hoping to start a regular routine of walking at lunchtime tomorrow at work, but we’ll see what happens.
Tomorrow I have my very first appointment with a ophthalmologist. Hopefully all will be well with my retina, but I am pretty sure I will need new glasses and I am fairly sure they will have to be bifocals :/
I’m looking forward to, at some point, not having any doctor appointments for a whole month.

About three days after I was diagnosed, my glasses didn’t work anymore. I could see better without them (which was still not very good. I asked around and was told that I needed my blood sugar to be under control for a month before I could get new glasses. So I bought some $1 reading glasses, I went from a 17″ to a 22″ widescreen monitor at home, and I think i will be getting some sunglasses. This by far has been the most annoying thing since my diagnosis, more annoying than changing my diet or having to test my blood.
